According to an international news agency, the photograph of Noor-ul- Nissa Anayat Khan, a Muslim woman will be printed on the 50 pounds note in 2020. This is for the first time in the History of Britain that a Muslim Woman is given tribute in such an honourable way.
She was accused of being a British spy in France during World War II. France was the colony of Germany at that time. She was arrested and then executed in jail in Germany.
Her real name is Noor-ul-Nissa Anayat Khan but she is known by the name Nora Bakers in Britain.
The process of printing of notes has been started in Bank of England. She has also been awarded the country’s most respected title i.e. The George Cross.
